The Butterfly Group Profile

The Butterfly Group is a dedicated charity to all those affected by immune, auto immune and chronic disorders.  There are over 80 recognised auto immune disorders and over 70 immune illnesses.  The charity is the only one in the UK who cares for these group of sufferers under the one umbrella of immune and auto immunity.  The charity will be opening its charitable premises this year to provide as many services as possible to these groups of individuals.  The symptoms can be mild or indeed fatal.  A website will be under construction at the later part of the year but will focus on its premises and services initially.  The charity is for the Blackpool, Wyre and Fylde Community but not exclusively due to the uniqueness of the charity and will offer help to those out of the Lancashire.  There are over 4.3 million people who suffer from one or more of  these illnesses which are often fickle, demanding and dabilitating.  We hope to hear from you so we may help or indeed look forward to hearing from you if you wish to support the charity and its place in the community.

SERVICES OF THE BUTTERFLY GROUP

The charity will provide the following services:-

Full Information Centre providing key information, emphathy groups for beneficiaries, advice and resources.  Education meetings and briefing professionals within voluntary, fundraising, business and medical backgrounds on these illnesses.  Publish information on all the disorders and making literature available from other sources including the media.  Publish a regular newsletter and produce posters and other publicity material.  Promote Annual Awareness Days, Months and Weeks in relation to the illnesses.  To raise funds for research, welfare and medical support through regional and local fundraising events and colloborate with other organisations whereby the voice of The Butterfly Group amplifies to many more people.  Please contact us for further information regarding our services and support at the charity.

FUNDRAISING

The charity has organised various fundraising exercises from Football Nights at Blackpool FC to Dinner Dances and Ladies Luncheons.  Fundraising events are across the Fylde Coast for easy access throughout the year to all interested in doing a little for their community which can make a big difference.  From the local pub in Fleetwood to the theatre group in Lytham and Kirkham.  For a list of future events, please contact us on 01253 316000 for details of our forthcoming events or if you wish to organise a fundraising event for our charity.

CHARITABLE PREMISES

The charitable premises will have products and items in furtherance of its charitable objects and to support and assist the beneficiary.  These items from relevant books to butterfly orientated items.  Copper bangles for arthritis sufferers to thermal gloves for those suffering from Raynaud's Phenomenon.  There will also be items which have been donated by the beneficiaries to the charity.  A visit to the charity will be of great benefit and you never know.....you may find something of interest at the same time!
