African Caribbean Friends and Relations Association Profile
Come along and a meet a friendly mixed bunch of people with varying interests from around the Fylde Coast. Membership is open to people with an interest in African/Caribbean culture and issues as well as those from an African Caribbean, mixed or dual heritage background.

- African Caribbean Cultural Evenings (Annual Black History Month Celebrations)
- Steel Drum workshop with Blackpool Tiggers (sports, leisure and social club for children on the autistic spectrum)
- Talks on Heath issues e.g. Sickle Cell Anaemia, Mental Health
- Trips to Museums and Cinemas
- Older People's Domino Club
- Seasonal Family events: Christmas Dinner, Easter Egg Hunt
- Children's Storytelling Sessions

Aims
- To promote a safer and friendlier environment
- To build stronger links in the community
- To provide a network of support, information, contacts and resources for AFRA members and associates on the Fylde Coast
Objective 1: Promoting issues relevant to the African-Caribbean community
- To provide a network of support for AFRA Fylde Coast residents
- To increase awareness of African-Caribbean culture
- Working together in partnership with the local council, police and other agencies to achieve common goals
Objective 2: Inclusion and Partnership Working
- To encourage social inclusion
- To support businesses and events that promote social inclusion
- Working together in partnership with the local council, police and other agencies to achieve common goals (access to services)
- To identify and work closely with key community agencies
Objective 3: Encouraging Community Cohesion
- To encourage partnerships with other communities/ethnic groups
- To support informal education programmes that promote harmony between all diverse groups
