LAST YEAR'S EVENT...

YOU HAD TO BE THERE!

Sunday night saw the Live Final of Fylde’s Got Talent take place at Lowther Pavilion. And what a night it was! (Photo - Emma Wright)

Lowther Pavilion was filled with theatre goers, fans and friends and it must have been the noisiest and most supportive crowd the theatre has seen in a long time!

There was a sea of banners and posters supporting the talented finalists and when each act appeared on stage the cheers carried out into the car park.

Each finalist performed fantastically and faultlessly. The organisers told FYLDElife: "The standard of each and every finalist was extremely high, we are really proud of all of the acts. We had a great production team for the the final which helped make it a very professional and entertaining show. The real stars of the show were the contestants, it was all down to them. We are pleased that they chose to become involved with Fylde’s Got Talent. Even though we couldn’t have 10 winners we hope that they and their families and friends have had a great time with us.

"Our fantastic Compere, Linda Fazackerley, was a wonderful hostess for the evening, She delighted the audience with her quick wit and the genuine rapport she had with the performers on stage, her rapport rapidly growing with the lively audience too.

After all the finalists performances had wowed Lowther and the judges deliberated, the audience were entertained by FGT auditionees the ‘Noches De Salsa Cuban Dance Group’ who put on a fantastic display  for the crowd anxiously awaiting the judges decisions.

A big well done goes to the Brothers of Swing on gaining 3rd place, Chloe Walker for being placed runner up and to Emma Wright who scooped the title of winner of Fylde’s Got Talent 2009!

A big thanks goes out from the organisers to all those involved with Fylde’s Got Talent. All those who have taken part, bought tickets, donated prizes and helped with the organisation. We set out to organise an event which would raise money for the Fylde Mayoral Charities (we raised £1,500) to organise an event that would bring together the community,  and organise an event that would be FUN!   See you in 2010!
