Wrea Green's Queen of Sunshine

Following heavy rain on Saturday morning the sky turned blue and the sun came out for the new Rose Queen Helen Bradbrook .

Wrea Green Field Day proved a great success even though rain threatened the proceedings. Crowds lined the village green to watch the annual procession followed by the crowning of the new Rose Queen, Helen Bradbrook of Wrea Green. The children of the village also celebrated the change of weather and were eager to take part in the annual Field Day Sports event in the afternoon.

The new farmers market on the green proved to be popular with locals and visitors alike, adding to the atmosphere and occasion.
