Car Rally Across The Fylde and Wyre

Car Rally Across The Fylde and Wyre

A round-up of what's happening in Wyre in the next few weeks, starting with an exciting motor sport event making its debut in Fleetwood.

The 2010 Legend Fires North West Stages Rally comes to the Fylde Coast on 5 and 6 February, with a spectator stage being introduced to Fleetwood for the first time on Day Two.

Almost 100 cars will be racing around a seafront circuit utilising the Lower Promenade from Marine Hall, down to the Boating Lake and behind Marine Gardens. A number of spectator points will be created, while a PA system with commentators will keep everyone up to date throughout the race.

The event is now in its 13th year and is a qualifying round for a number of rally championships around the country.

Start time is approximately 9.30am. More details are available online at www.nwstages.co.uk
