Protestors Gather Outside Council Meeting
Following the massive public support in both Kirkham and St. Annes at weekend where in excess of 3000 turned out to protest, the fight continues.
It is expected that the Fylde community will tonight continue their fight to keep both baths open by turning up at the Fylde Council meeting scheduled to take place at Fylde Rugby Club at 5pm.
Many residents are equipped with banners and placards in an effort to make sure that their local councillors realise the strength and the depth of feeling that exists within the whole community against the closure of their local swimming facilities. The demand to keep the baths open is supported by many local and rural councillors and it would seem that the balance of power is held by the Conservative ruling group.
Fylde Life will report on the decision as soon as the vote is known.
