Have your say on leisure centres in Wyre

That's the message from council bosses who want to hear what local residents think about Wyre's leisure centres and swimming pools.

Tom Pridmore, Wyre's Director of Leisure Services, said:  "We want to build a real picture of the quality of our leisure centres in the borough so we want to hear from people across all walks of life.

 It doesn't matter whether you are a regular goer to Wyre's leisure centres or have never visited one before as it's equally important for us know why people aren't accessing local leisure services as well as the views of current users. 

The council-owned facilities (listed below) are operated by the Fylde Coast YMCA on their behalf as part of Wyre's pledge to encourage healthier lifestyles.

· Garstang Leisure Centre
· Garstang Swimming Pool
· Poulton Swimming and Fitness Centre
· Thornton Leisure Centre
· Fleetwood Leisure Centre and Pool

Each centre offers a diverse programme of activities for all ages and abilities from state-of-the-art fitness studios with personal trainers to racquet sports, football, dance, "Creepy Crawlies" sessions for toddlers, free swimming for under 16s and over 60s plus much more.

And one lucky participant will receive a free month's membership to their nearest health and fitness studio as all surveys received by 18 September 2009 will be automatically entered into a prize draw.
