Have YOUR SAY about the Mowbreck development

Local residents are venting their feelings about the proposed Mowbreck development in Wesham.

FOR:

A Wesham resident writes: "I live in Wesham and think the influx of new homes, leading to new residents, leading to new jobs - leading to a better Wesham is a good thing.

I agree with another resident, it’s always the minority making the most noise.

You don’t speak for the majority of Wesham (not in my neighborhood) and I personally think you need to accept change is not always a bad thing.

AGAINST:

Forum member Martin Howarth sums up the feelings against the development: "Local amenities servicing Kirkham, Wesham and surrounding villages would be stretched to breaking point with the introduction of 264 new dwellings. This number of new houses could potentially mean 1000 extra residents jostling for a place at doctors, dentists, schools, groups, community care, in-town car parking, etc…… Fylde Resident’s council tax would increase to cover extra landfill tax accrued as well as the cost for every other service FBC and LCC provide. Although letters have been sent out to all geographical neighbours of this site, the whole of the Fylde would be affected by it. SO LET US STAND TOGETHER AND SAY NO!WESHAM IS FULL!

What do YOU think?  Post your comments, whether FOR or AGAINST the development on the FYLDElife Forum.
