Fleetwood youngster wins design competition
Meet the creative youngster whose design has inspired a new community logo.
Four-year-old Bobby Jo Jackson was one of two winners in a competition organised by the North Fleetwood Community Liaison Group. The brief given to youngsters from Chaucer Community Primary and St Mary's Primary Schools was to create a picture reflecting community life.
Judges were so impressed with Bobby Jo's entry that they turned it into a new logo for the North Fleetwood Neighbourhood Management Scheme.
As a reward the Chaucer youngster - and the St Mary's winner Hansa Rakasingher - will be enjoying a family day out at Farmer Parr's.
One of the judges, Councillor Peter Murphy, Living Communities Portfolio Holder for Wyre Borough Council, said: "We would like to pass on our thanks to all those who took part in the competition. It's great to see so many of our youngest residents getting involved in the community."
