£114,000 report tells council...'No More Spending'
A report costing a colossal £114,000 has warned Fylde Council to stop spending money.
The beleagured authority paid the huge amount to accountancy firm KPMG for the report - into how badly money has been spent.
Now, council officers have produced a further report and have told members that no more spending can take place without making cuts first.
That's despite the fact the under-fire body has already closed St Annes Swimming Pool to cut costs.
The council's Streetscene waste department overspent by £609,000 in its last budget, forcing councillors to slash spending.
Traders have been warned that the budget for festive lights will also be clawed back this year.
KPMG gave Fylde the most serious warning an auditor can.
