In aid of the The Fylde Mayoral Charities for 2008/09 we are proud to present the biggest and best talent competition Fylde has ever seen, and you can apply to audition or make sure that you are part of our live Lowther audience on the exciting Final night – right now!

Dancers, Singers, groups, schools, comedians, choirs, musicians and variety acts of all ages are invited to audition to have a chance at performing at the spectacular Live Final in February, which the Mayor will be hosting with the assistance of the Friends of Lowther.

Could you be the star of the show? With a £1000 worth of Debenham’s vouchers up for grabs for the winners – what are you waiting for?

The competition judges are now confirmed and we are pleased to announce that they will include The Mayor of Fylde, Susan Fazackerley, Robin Duke, the entertainments editor of the Blackpool Evening Gazette, Helen Bowden, Station director at Radio Wave and Cameron Scott, leading North West agent and promoter.

The Live Final of ‘Fylde’s Got Talent’ will be held on Sunday 8th February at Lowther Pavilion. The evening will showcase the top 10 talented finalists and prizes will be awarded to our overall winners on the evening. Don’t leave it too long to book your seat in the audience – it could be too late and you could miss out on what promises to be a spectacular first of it’s kind in the Fylde.

Tickets for the Final are available now priced at £8 (£7 for concessions) There is a £1 discount on all tickets purchased before the 1st February and a £2 ticket discount any date you book, if you are a ‘Friend of Lowther’.

So what's going on....?

To enter the contest you will need to register for one of the 1st round auditions (See right hand panel). Spaces are limited so please register ASAP.

Once you have decided which audition you want to attend you need to fill out an application form online. If you prefer you can also fill in a paper application form There will be a small entry fee for auditions - £2 for individual acts and £5 for group acts - to be paid on the day of your audition.

All proceeds will be split between the following Mayoral Charities:

  • Trinity Hospice Charity
  • Marie Curie Cancer Care
  • Easterleigh Animal Sanctuary
  • Snowdrop Centre / Donna's Dreamhouse

If you get through the 1st round you will be asked to come back to a further audition on Sunday 1st February 2009. This will take place at the Freckleton Village Hall where 10 acts will be chosen to go through to the live final at Lowther Gardens on 8th February.
