Use it or loose it
After all the 'will it stay or will it go' news, when is the pool actually open for use. I haven't been for a while due this and was wondering: Is it in full time use? Have the times changed at all from those given on the council web site? or is is still open all of these times? If changed, where can I find the new times? Is the adults only session still on Monday night? Is there anything special for young children? There is a little children's pool there I think isn't there, is this in use?

Re: Use it or loose it
For full details of opening times and prices, the phone no for Kirkham pool is 01772 682989.
There is an inflatable session for children over 8 who are competant swimmers on Sat PM . There are swimming lessons and a small pool for learners. In addtion there are adult swim times and lane swimming times as well as aqua fit.
I go with the children generally on Sundays at around 10am when the pool is busier with families and the kids can mess about as well as do some "proper" swimming.
I think if you phone, you'll find a session to suit you. Good luck.
Now the pool is saved, hopefully its marketing/publicity will be enhanced.

Any serious swimmer, such as myself, who used the pool several times per week will have gone elsewhere by now, where the constant threat of closure iS not hanging over you will ha e gone elsewhere. Somewhere we fEel a valued customer how on earth do they expect to get us bAck -the bread and butter customer who was there winter or summer, despite all they did to discourage us - no thanks I will take my custom elsewhere in future. And I will spend my money there as wl while I have. My swims - Preston for info not the fylde/at annex

How is Kirkham baths doing now? Does anyone think its any busier, to be honest as I have not noticed much difference in attendance.
I just hope the baths develops into a long term prospect as in its current from I cant see it surviving.
Would be interested in other peoples views

Couldn't have said it better myself. Angry doesn't begin to express my feelings for them.

Re: Use it or loose it
I think you have captured the general feeling spot on.
Sadly it may close if swimmers are not returning.
